Gary Scarlett, Director
Optometrist
Gary joined the practice in 1996 as an Optometrist. He has Tim for company now so is no longer the only male at CC&M, which means the rest of us have two fellas to turn to, to fix all things non-girly things like computers and technology. He has experience in the Low Vision Clinic at the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital and is very keen to keep up to date on current treatments and technologies.
Outside work Gary enjoys keeping fit, especially running. He is also an avid supporter of Leicester City FC. He is married and has two daughters who are rising stars in the world of Gymnastics and Athletics.
Tim Pothecary, Director
Optometrist
Tim joined us as a full time optometrist in April 2013. He started his optical career as a Dispensing Optician but after several years decided he wanted the challenges and rewards of the test room and qualified as an Optometrist. Consequently he knows both aspects of optometry. Tim is married to an optometrist and they have three children and various animals.
In his spare time Tim does Kuk Sool Won, which is apparently a mixture of several Martial Arts. So we try to stay on his good side!
Jenny Baldry
Receptionist
Jenny started with us in July 2015 having previously worked in a different branch of the NHS and has excellent communication skills.A self confessed chocaholic, Jenny is the skinniest sweet eater ever.
Her husband is a paramedic and they have two grown up daughters.

Sue Ransom
Receptionist
Sue works at the Eaton practice and has been there since 1990.Living in the area she knows a lot of the patients there. Sue is a very accomplished horsewoman, having ridden and competed for many years. In 2011 she bought a young horse which she is intending to train from scratch. That should be interesting and we are all hoping that Sue not Lily retains the upper hand/hoof.
Gilli Sparkes
Optical Assistant
Gilli is an Optical Assistant of many years experience and a well know face (and voice) at the Eaton practice, since joining us in 1998. Gilli is married and likes playing league darts for her local team. Apparently glasses often determine the result……..not the optical kind ! Also Gilli likes to spend as much time as possible with her grand children.
Cath Moore
Dispensing Optician
Cath Moore joined us in February 2012. As a Dispensing Optician she had locumed for different practices so brings with her lots of experience and ideas that we can tap into. When not at CC&M she and her husband have a young family, Noah and Jenny, who keep their mum very busy always ‘doing things’. Cath is also a prolific maker of jewellery.
