Eye Wear: Glasses, Spectacles and Sun Glasses
At both practices we stock an extensive range of frames from designer to budget. Our Dispensers are constantly on the look out for innovative and stylish frames to cater for our very varied client base. It is important to us that our customers have plenty of choice, and we enjoy the challenge of finding frames to suit all tastes and pockets. As we are all indivduals our trained staff are always happy to advise on suitability from a prescriptive view point and style.
We stock a wide range of Designer frames and stylish standard frames from Calvin Klein, D&G, Ted Baker, Valentino, Prada and Versace.
Spectacle Lenses
A spectacle lens can be made in several different materials. Aside from single vision, bifocal and varifocal lenses they can be tinted, photochromic (Transitions),coated or of higher index materials which are lighter and thinner than ordinary plastic. We are always happy to advise you of all the possibilities so you can make the right choice. Essilor is our preferred supplier of varifocal lenses - See a video about their lenses below...
Prescription Sunglasses
Every year we stock a range of all-in-one prescription sunglasses for both men and women. They provide 100% UV protection and are available as single vision, bifocal or varifocal lenses, with either a fixed tint or Polaroid lenses.
Colorimetry Spectacles
The colorimetry test is to determine, which colour, if any would be beneficial for the client. It is a private procedure and takes about an hour. Following the testing we can supply a pair of spectacles with the precision tint in about 3-4 weeks. Since each tint is specific to each individual they all have to be tinted separately which is why they take this long. This procedure is helpful to anyone of any age who has problems of visual stress and we have had some remarkable results over the last ten years.
Sports Eyewear
Some sports require special forms of correction. Whether it is for cycling, snooker, shooting or diving we can supply you with a suitable frame to carry your correction or lenses in your mask. Alternatively, for more dynamic sports, like gymnastics or judo and racquet sports, it may be advisable for both safety and maximum field of vision to have contact lenses. This will achieve uninterrupted vision and freedom from a frame, which will be safer. Please visit our Sports Eye Wear page for more details.
